5 Tropical Winter Getaways
Posted on January 26 2017
Already one month into the New Year and we can’t believe how quickly it’s flown by! Until Spring arrives in full bloom, now is the perfect time to plan an escape from the remaining winter months ahead. From domestic destinations to exploring the Caribbean – we’ve compiled a small list of ideas to help you start planning your next tropical escape!
1. Atlantis Paradise Island
Huge resort, big amenities. This Bohemian getaway has a little something for everyone. From empty nester couples to families- there is an activity to occupy any set of travelers looking for a tropical vacation. Atlantis has it all with its maritime aquariums, Dolphin Cay (yes, you can swim with them!), expansive casino, and luxurious private cabanas. No matter where you end up in the resort, you’re sure to indulge in a much-needed retreat.
2. Sandals Resort, Montego Bay
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Family time can be great, but sometimes we all need a break. What we love most is that this spot is adults-only AND all inclusive. Enjoy a relaxing getaway with all of the finest resort amenities already built in to your stay. This means unlimited dining, unlimited drinks, and recreational activities around the resort. That includes water sports and a huge golfing green. Sandals Montego Bay is also renown for its beachside suites along its own private beach. If going the romantic route, this is your spot!
3. Cheeca Lodge
Explore the historical Florida Keys at this relaxing resort, with amazing weather to match. This coastal location has 70 years of history, with its spacious suites, first-class restaurants, and watersports on-site. Love seafood? This place is your ideal destination for ocean fare. From yoga to kayaking- to fishing or taking a bike ride through the island- it’s your option to “do everything – or nothing at all”.
4. Naples Grande Beach Resort
Known for its enormous amounts of hospitality, this award-winning hotel doubles as not only a golf resort, but a luxury family vacation destination as well. With on-site tennis courts, expansive pool, a 3-mile secluded beach, and on-site spa – all of the resort-necessary essentials are found here throughout the property. So whether traveling with just adults, or bringing along the family, this destination covers all the bases for an idyllic retreat.
5. Walt Disney World Resort
Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Maybe we’re biased because we’re Florida-based, but there’s nothing like escaping to the Walt Disney World Resort and immersing yourself in the full experience. Amongst the parks, the hotels are their own adventure! Between dining and recreational activities, there is always something to do. It’s the happiest place on Earth, after all. The mild weather you can expect January through March allows for a substantial amount of outdoor activities, which include hitting the pool in-between park time. Don’t forget to explore the World Showcase in Epcot, or get a look at what happens behind-the-scenes at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Our favorite attraction? Easily The Great Movie Ride.
